The Indian rental and property market is heavily intermediated by brokers who charge 1–2 months' rent as commission. Owners lose money, tenants overpay, and the transaction is opaque. PropXReal needed a platform that made direct owner-to-tenant connections viable and trustworthy at scale.
Existing classified platforms are flooded with unverified listings, duplicate posts, and stale properties. PropXReal's differentiator had to be verified listings with confirmed owner identity — which required a verification workflow built into the platform.
Most rental agreements in India are still paper-based, requiring physical meetings, stamp paper, and notarisation. PropXReal needed fully digital agreements and payment processing — deposit, rent, and booking amounts — handled securely online with proper receipts.
The platform needed to support residential (flats, villas, PG/hostels, plots) and commercial (offices, shops, warehouses, commercial land) across multiple cities with location-specific search, filtering, and discovery.
Owners list properties in under 2 minutes — type, location, price, photos, floor plan. Tenants and buyers search by city, locality, property type, budget, and BHK. Listings show verified badges, owner details, and enquiry buttons, with infinite scroll and a clean card-based UI optimised for mobile browsing.
Every listing is verified for accuracy before going live, and owner identity is confirmed through the registration flow. Verified badges are displayed prominently — building the trust layer that differentiates PropXReal from classified sites.
End-to-end digital rental/sale agreements without paper or physical meetings, plus secure payments via Razorpay — deposits, rent, and booking amounts with proper receipts. A significant differentiator in a market where most transactions still happen via cash and paper.
